Steps to sustainable success
- Call for entries . The entry process consisted of a selection of questions and was an opportunity for companies to put forward a compelling story of sustainable business practice. 110 individual entries were submitted. Judging was a three-step process. The first tier involved assessment of entries against a set of quantitative criteria by Massey University. The second tier involved the validation of a selected entries by PricewaterhouseCoopers through one-on-one interviews and checking of original material. The final tier was completed by a specially selected panel of judges who used their professional judgment and a set of qualitative criteria to assess final winners.
- Editorial supplement: The stories along with the category winners and finalists have been showcased in an editorial supplement which was included in the Independent (3/12) and included in the latest issue of Unlimited.
- Awards/cocktails function: Category winners and finalists were announced at a cocktail function on 2 December.
- Workshops: The next stage of the programme will be a series of workshops to be held from
May - August 2010 in Auckland and Wellington focusing on each of the five categories of Workplace, Environment, Strategy and governance , Marketplace and Community. The workshops will feature subject experts and Award winners and finalists who will share their experiences and stories with delegates. The workshops will focus on providing practical hands-on advice with ideas and strategies that participants can apply to their own businesses.
